Today Zach and the rest of 5th grade boarded charter busses and went to Chattanooga Aquarium. I hated that I was not able to chaperone (that's another blog post in itself but I won't bore you with the details) but was grateful that our friend, Stacey Whitmark, did chaperone and sent me pictures throughout the day.
Zach had a great time and his favorite part was the riverboat ride. They were able to eat lunch on the riverboat while they cruised firm the river and then spent the rest of the day at the aquarium.
Zach and Kyle doing what they do - Zach has his head in a book while Kyle is playing on his iPad.
The penguins are always a favorite!

I am a stay at home mom to Grace, age 15, and Zach, age 12. Being a Mom is the hardest job that I've ever had but also the most rewarding. Both Grace and Zach bring so much joy, love and laughter to my life. In addition to being a stay at home mom, I am also a Senior Consultant with Thirty-One Gifts and a part-time Retail Merchandiser with Hallmark. So, I have plenty to keep me busy! My husband, Dave, retired from the USMC in 2013 and we moved from Camp Lejeune, NC to Madison, AL to be closer to my family. He is now the Logistics Manager for a company in Decatur, AL and I couldn't be more proud of his service to our country and his perseverance and flexibility in transitioning to the civilian world. He is an amazing father and husband and I love him more each and every day. On a lighter note, I love sushi, sweet iced tea, skinny cinnamon dolce lattes and cinnamon scones from Starbucks...and Elvis!
