Summer Trip to Alabama

The kids and I spent two weeks in Alabama with Kerry and her family and Nana and Paw.  We had a blast and did so many different things!  Grace went to an art class at Spirited Art with Allie all week and brought home some beautiful paintings.  She loved it!  We shopped, played games, went to Tupelo to the birthplace of Elvis Presley and went to Tuscumbia to Helen Keller's birthplace.  It was an action packed fun two weeks!
Allie and Grace at Spirited Art ready to paint!

They would first draw whatever it was that they were painting that day
and then they painted.

Grace making some finishing touches on one of her paintings.

Goofing off and shopping with Nana at Target.  They love trying on heels!

Grace and Allie spent time at home drawing together.

Zach loved playing Battleship with Paw

We all had a blast playing badminton.  It was fun and exercise!
Going to have to get the kids their own badminton set.

On July 30, 2011 we went to Tupelo, MS to the birthplace of Elvis Presley and toured the museum, chapel and the house.
Zach loves cars including this old one at the birthplace of Elvis!

I loved looking at the clothes and artifacts in the museum at the birthplace.

and Mom and Dad

After touring the birthplace, we went to downtown Tupelo where there are differently painted guitars all along the street.

This is the hardware store where Elvis' first guitar was purchased.

Had to take a picture of this just because I loved the look of it!

On August 3, 2011 we went to Tuscumbia, AL and ate lunch at a great little Italian restaurant before touring Ivy Green, the birthplace of Helen Keller.

This was the chandelier in the men's restroom...

and this was in the lady's restroom
