Soaring for a Century MCAS New River Air Show

This weekend is the 2011 Sounds of Freedom Air Show Soaring for a Century, Celebrating of 100 years of Naval Aviation.  We went today and had a blast.  We were invited to join Col Hewlett, the base CO, in his VIP tent to watch the air show so we had great seats, a bit of shade, cold drinks and good food which made everything a little more enjoyable.  Here are some pictures of some of our favorite events.
Flash Fire Jet Truck Demonstration

Jelly Belly Aerobatic Performance

US Army Special Operations Command's Black Dagger Parachute Demonstration Team

We took a break from the air show and went and walked around and looked at all the static displays.  The kids loved climbing in all the different airplanes and tanks!
Zach and Grace with Mrs. "Atis", one of C-12 pilots who Dave flies with.

We got back to the tent just in time to catch the finale and the performance of The Canadian Forces Snowbirds Jet Team and they were awesome!
