White Christmas...A Day Late

We went to bed last night with the anticipation of waking up to snow this morning.  So imagine our excitement when we woke up and saw those big white flakes falling so beautifully from the sky!  The kids couldn't wait to get bundled up and get out in it and start playing.  Dave and I enjoyed watching them from the front door, still in our PJ's and drinking our coffee.  But they eventually wore us down and we got out there with them and one major snowball fight took place!
Check out Grace's snowball in mid-air!
Does he look mischievous or what?

What little boys do...
Dave raring back to throw a snowball at Grace...
and it's launched!
Check out the look on both of their faces....
Grace did have a hat on before this picture was taken.  The snowball that Dave threw knocked it right off her head!  Hilarious!
Check out the hat on the ground.
And now she's out for revenge!
It was a great day of playing in the snow, snowball fights and hot chocolate by the fire!

Christmas Day

The kids slept this morning till about 8 and then we all hurried downstairs to see if Santa had come!  And of course, he had!  They immediately head over to see if he ate the cookies and drank the milk and then checked out all the presents that he left for them by the fireplace.  It is so much fun to just sit back and watch the expressions on their faces and hear their squeals of delight as they open all of the presents that Santa brought.

Once they had gone through their stockings and opened all of their Santa presents, we took a quick break and made our coffee and ate some sausage balls then it was time to unwrap all the presents under the tree.  They both made out this year with zoobles, Halo action figures, Lego's, hex bugs, zhu zhu pets, clothes, and all sorts of things!

We spent most of the day it seemed unwrapping, untwisting, taking out and putting together all of the many toys that they received.  And of course, we had a delicious meal of ham, dressing, sweet potato souffle, green bean casserole and butt rolls!  What a great day!
