Thanksgiving Day

We headed down to Beaufort to spend Thanksgiving with Gia, Jason and the kids and today was Turkey Day!  I'm not exactly sure why, but Gia thought we needed two turkeys.  Yes, that's right two HUGE turkeys.  So, we had turkey (2 of them), ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potato souffle, green bean roll ups, butt rolls, stuffing and homemade cranberry sauce.  Everything was absolutely delicious!

We had a fun easy going day just hanging out and preparing the food while the kids played.  Oh, and we did slurp (work on our blog books) a little this morning and tonight as well.

Gia got the first turkey all ready for the men to fry...
And here they are getting ready to lower it into the fryer.
Don't you love how Dave backed up?
And then the problem started.  No fire thank goodness but there was lots of smoke.
So, they had to remove the fryer, clean up all the oil that spilled everywhere and then try it again.

Ta DA!  Isn't it gorgeous?  Jason looks very proud of his fried turkey as he should be.  It was mouth watering good!

Ava and Grace toasting with their sparkling cider.

Everything was sooooo good!

and now we are stuffed!

I love how you lied and said the girls had sparkeling cider! You know we liquored them up reallllll good so we could slurp in peace! LMAO! And, those turkeys weren't big, only 13.5 lbs each AND WE ATE IT ALL, didn't we? So suck it! ;)
