The kids and I spent Christmas in Alabama with my parents and my sister and her family. Here are some pictures of that week.

Grace was part of a Christmas play titled "The Littlest Reindeer" that was performed by JPS Students. Each teacher was asked to choose 2-3 students from each class to participate in the play. Mrs. Flott asked my permission for Grace to be in the play if she would like to. They started practice back in the fall and practiced every Thursday afternoon after school until about 4:30 each week. Dress Rehearsal was on December 13th and they did a couple of performances during the school day for the students on December 17th and then a performance during the evening of the 18th. Papa was able to see one of the performances on the 17th and Paw was able to attend the performance on the 18th. Grace was a Christmas doll and she looked adorable!

Mrs. Flott's and Mrs. Hughes' classes performed a selection of Christmas songs today for the parents with Mr. Robinson, their music teacher, on saxophone. They did a great job. After the program, they had their Christmas party where they went to different centers to do various activities. They made a peanut butter reindeer sandwich, a Christmas Tree ice cream cone, they counted out different ingredients for a snack mix by tens, made clove and citrus pomanders and a few more things. It was fun spending time with all the kids and helping them at the different centers.
